Our Lady and St Joseph adore the infant Christ.

In a vision of St Brigid, our Lord at His nativity shone with a great brilliance, even outmatching the candle which St Joseph sometimes carries. This vision of night turned into day, increasingly influenced iconography and explains the effect of Fra Angelico’s Nativity or Michel Sittow’s.

This version takes a moderate path, looking to the proto-lumanism of Jean Bourdichon's nocturns.
