St Onuphrius is another Desert Father of the Thebaid. Although widely venerated, East and West, little is known of his life as he lived for more than seventy years as a hermit in the deep desert. A brief vita and an account of his meeting with St Paphnutius are recorded in the Life of Onuphrius.
